Wyoming Truck Driving Championship
Make plans NOW to enter your company’s best drivers in the 2023 Wyoming Truck Driving Championship. Recognition of safe driving pays dividends through improved morale and increased driver awareness of safe operations.
A driver is eligible if he or she is based or dispatched in Wyoming, has been employed for the past twelve months by the same employer and has not been involved in an accident for the past twelve consecutive months.
Competition may be held in up to six classes depending on driver participation: straight truck; four and five-axle tractor; five-axle flatbed, five-axle tank truck and twin trailers. Winners of the official classes will be eligible to represent Wyoming at the American Trucking Association National Championships on August 16-19, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio.
The first three places in each class will receive trophies. Belt buckles will be awarded to the first place winners in each class. Awards will also be given for highest overall score; high individual scores in personal interview; pre-trip; skills test and written exam; Rookie of the Year and a team trophy (three drivers designated from one company). Companies may enter as many drivers per class as they choose.
In 2022, the championship had twelve drivers compete – we want to continue this event with more participation every year. Not only will this be an opportunity for your drivers to compete with their peers, it will be an excellent time for the trucking industry to go public with its “cream of the crop”.
