Allied Members

Allied members of Wyoming Trucking Association are companies which provide products and services to the trucking industry, including truck manufacturing, insurance, drug and alcohol testing, banking and financial services, advertising, etc. There are three tiers of allied membership, which are based on the scope of the company’s operation.

Class I

Class I members are allied members which provide products and/or services to the trucking industry locally, within a single city, county or region of the state.

Class II

Class II members are allied members which provide products and/or services to the trucking industry within the state of Wyoming.

Class III

Class III members are allied members which provide products and/or services to the trucking industry statewide or nationwide; manufacturer reps.

Operating Members

Operating Members of Wyoming Trucking Association are motor carrier members which own and/or operate trucks as a major part of their business.

There are seven operating conferences. An operating member may fall into more than one conference, however, they will have only one primary conference for which they are categorized.

General Commodities Carriers

General commodities carriers are motor carriers which transport general commodities.

Hazardous Materials Carriers

Hazardous materials carriers are motor carriers which transport hazardous materials or substances.

Heavy Specialized Carriers

Heavy specialized carriers are motor carriers which transport general oilfield equipment, commodities, supplies, heavy oversize loads, hot shot services, cranes and special permit loads, etc.

Private Carriers

Private carriers are motor carriers which own and operate vehicles for transporting property in connection with their own business in industrial, commercial or agricultural interests.

Specialized Services Carriers

Specialized services carriers are motor carriers which transport household goods, refuse, mobile/modular homes, tow truck operators, etc.

Bulk Commodities Carriers

Bulk commodities carriers are motor carriers which transport liquid or dry bulk commodities in tank or hopper type vehicles.

Owner Operator and Leased Operators

Owner operator and leased operators are individuals operating as independent owner operators or under a valid lease to a WTA member company.
